Does one have a monopoly "on" or "over" something? I think both prepositions are correct.

'Over' sounds a little unnatural to me. 'On' and 'over' are both fine, as is 'in'.

I have never heard/read "over" or "in" used in that way.
 
How about monopoly of as well?
