Welcome to the forum, niknikonavoi.

This looks like your homework, which we don't do.

In the first one a), c) and d) all work. None of the options given in the second one work.

Does 'to make the whole house upside-down' work?

"to turn the whole house upside-down" is the natural way of saying it.

It doesn't work for me.

The construction is 'to make something + adjective'. Why doesn't it work?

In my opinion, learners need to stop memorizing templates such as "make something + adjective". They don't always work in real English.

'Turn something upside down' is an idiom, which should not be reworded.
Am I right?

Not a teacher.

In the use in this thread, it is an idiom.
