Mark Scheme or Marking Scheme?

Hi All,

The markers will use a book with suggested solution to give a mark to the candidates, I'd like to know it's called a "Mark Scheme" or "Marking Scheme"? Please advise.

:up: I've met both. There seems to be a tendency in recent years to drop suffixes off adjectives. What was universally known as a 'boxed set' in my youth is now often called a 'box set'. Like Rover, I'd say 'marking', but....
