If you are asking if the phrase 'manage to succeeding' is correct, it is not.

Yes, we usually say "manage to + V[SUB]base[/SUB]" and "succeed in + V[SUB]ing[/SUB]."

We managed to close the gap.
We succeeded in closing the gap.
