[General] Making reading simple

I have this girl in my class who is having a problem in reading. She neither can identify nor pronounce words. Any guidelines or strategies to help my girl read please?

How old is she? Can she read OK in her native language and is only having problems with English? Have you spoken to other teachers at the school about her problem?
