Hi,

Could anyone say me what does "low-end laptop" convey?

I asked someone and he said me it means "low cost laptop" but It sounds me quite wrong. any suggestion?
I've also encountered the expression "high-end servers". That's why I think that that meaning given to me would be wrong.

It means 'low cost' to me, too — the cheapest in the range.

Thank you so much, Rover

So concluding rationally could one say that "high-end server" means "high cost server"?

On reflection, 'low cost' and 'high cost' is too simple an interpretation.

'Low/high end' refers to the sophistication, features and performance of the appliances.

Market forces determine the prices charged by individual retailers.

It does refer to the specifications IMO, but less powerful machines are also low price. I'd take it to refer to the chip ,memory, etc.
