Hi everybody,
I'd like to know from the English speaking natives what kind of suggestions, ideas or sensations bring out from the word/sound "Taaac!" or "Taaack!".
In my country this sound is part of a gag from a famous '80 italian film. For my generation (in particular for those who live in the city of Milano) the sound "taaac!" has a particular meaning, but from you now I'd like to discover other potential meanings that depend from your own culture.

I hope you'll help me playing this linguistic game or experiment. It is really important in order to enrich the multicultural meanings of a sound/word.

Taaac!!!

Mr. Conway.

To be honest, neither suggests very much to me in terms of meaning. (British English speaker)

Hi Tdol. Thank you for your answer.

I know it has no meaning. What I'm asking you all is what this sound suggest to you. It's something honomatopoeic...

Mr. Conway.

That's what I meant- it doesn't suggest much to me as an onomatopoeia.

I can't really associate anything with that particular sound, either. AmE speaker.

It might apply to every other noise a laid-back clock makes in the USA. []
