Is this correct and natural?

Life in Arizona felt aimless. Amy felt like one of those tumbleweeds she sometimes saw on the Arizonan roads, blown from one spot to the next without a a clear destination. A part of her had let go and was content with letting life carry her along. A more controlling part of her psyche kept nagging at her, being gnawed by uncertainty.

Are you talking about life in general or specifically Amy's life?

I meant for Amy. So, maybe something like this?

For Amy, life in Arizona felt aimless. She couldn't find a job there. She felt like one of those tumbleweeds she sometimes saw on the Arizonan roads, blown from one spot to the next without a a clear destination. A part of her had let go and was content with letting life carry her along. A more controlling part of her psyche kept nagging at her, being gnawed by uncertainty.
