Since you're not talking about a single difference, use "differences". That's a good rule for you to learn. When we're talking about something in general, we use the plural.

For example, negative expressions or words in [STRIKE]the[/STRIKE] South Korea are often used [STRIKE]as[/STRIKE] in a positive [STRIKE]ones[/STRIKE] sense in North Korea.
or
For example, negative expressions or words in the South Korean dialect are often used [STRIKE]as[/STRIKE] in a positive [STRIKE]ones[/STRIKE] sense in North Korea.
