Kid has reading problem

Hello everyone,

My 6 year old kid has trouble reading , specially when reading aloud in class. The teachers suggested to use reading reading aids. I am not sure about it. If anyone has experience using it, please share the experience. What tools should I use? Do kids get dependent on these tools?

Teachers recommended See-n-Read. Any suggestions?
 
Does your kid read quietly OK?
