Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"Kevin aims the incandescent light into Carl's eyes. Mark runs away from the living. while Kevin removes the photos of “Athena” from the shelf, and then he goes to the living."

"The living" means the living people (those not dead).
Is that what you intend?

Also, it's a bit unclear who you intend "he" to refer to.
Finally, why are there quotes around "Athena?"

I would just use "light" or "bright light". What do you mean by "Mark runs away from the living"? Remove the comma after the first "living". What do you mean by "he goes back to the living"?
