2.All the roads are through [what does through mean here.]-- I'm not sure what you mean here, lalda. All roads go/run through [point A]? This means that it is necessary to go through point A (a place, a person, a technique. etc) to reach the goal.

3. in the confines of marital life-- under the restrictions of married life.
