June 7, 2012 read as June seventh, twenty twelve?

I say "two thousand [and] twelve" still, but I refer to the future as "twenty thirteen." I know many others do say "twenty twelve" though.

Spoken, I would say June seventh, even though it says 7 and not 7th.

In BrE, when we read dates aloud, we still add "the" and "th" even though they're not written. To me, that says "June the seventh, two thousand and twelve" or "June the seventh, twenty twelve".
