John caught one of his waitresses out while she was stealing food from the kitchen at closing time. "Don't you ever do that again," he said without raising his voice. "If you're hungry or thirsty eat and drink whatever you want, but don't take anything out of this restaurant. I'm generous, but don't take advantage of it, because you'll be sacked."
