Are the sentences below correct?
1. She was thin before, but she is fat now. :tick:
2. It rained a lot in summer before, but it seldom rains now. OK if you mean previous summers. But if in the immediate past summer, use "the summer before".
If your intended meaning is what I think it is, they would be more natural as:1. She was thin before, but she is fat now.
2. It rained a lot in summer before, but it seldom rains now.
