This is not my homework.
Which of the following sentence is correct?

1-It is only after a match is over that people realize how exciting it is.
2-It is only after a match is over that people realize how exciting it was.

Given that it says the game is over, which tense do you think is more logical - the present tense or the past tense?

Note that you should have written "Which of the following sentences is correct?"

I think it is more of a general use and so present tense should be preferred.
What do you suggest?

Only #2 is correct.

In the same context, Kindly tell me which of the following sentences is correct?
He told me that it was a good pen.
He told me that it is a good pen.

In the same context, kindly tell me which of the following sentences is correct.
He told me that it was a good pen.
He told me that it is a good pen.

They're both possible.

Note my corrections above. I'm sure we have told you before that we do not use a capital letter after a comma unless the next word is a proper noun. Your question mark was wrong. A sentence beginning "Kindly tell me which ..." is not a question.

Sorry, I should have taken care of the mistakes.

If both sentences are correct, is there any difference in meaning. If yes, what is that?
