What's the difference between:
1) It had me excited.
2) It got me excited.
3) It made me excited.

My second question is, can I use any adjectives like, excited, scared, curious after them?

I don't know. I would only use the third one.

After what?

You certainly can say:

I am excited.
I am scared.
I am curious.

Or a million other things.

I wouldn't use #1.

I'd use 2 and 3, probably interchangeably.

All three are acceptable in AmE. I probably use #1 and #2 more than #3, but that's just personal preference. I also tend to add 'all' in front of the adjective.

There isn't much practical difference in meaning.

Edit: I think I tend to use the first one more to show that my emotional status has changed after further revelations.

For example:
It had me all excited until I found out it was a lie.
The noise had me scared until I realized it was just racoon in the trash.
You had me all mad until I realized you were teasing.

I say there's quite a lot of difference in meaning, and my answer to the second question is a big no.

Is it just preference or do you think 1 is wrong?

Can you think of a context where using them interchangeably would change the meaning?
