Hello, I am writing a letter and I could use your help.
I want to say that I have financial problems because my country has taken economic measures and reduced the salaries. I am not familiar to economic words in english and I would like some help or suggestions in the following sentence:

Due to the economic crisis in my country and the wage cuts imposed by the government, my family is facing serious problems covering my fees.

Thank you for any help you could give.

Hi sophie,
That sounds fine to me. Good luck with getting the approvals you need.
