[Grammar] Is this sentence cent per cent correct?

Yes. "rather than" here is a quasi-coordinator -- as opposed to a subordinator or a phrasal preposition, which it can also be -- and means "and not".

Shouldn’t it be "[STRIKE]a[/STRIKE]Albus [STRIKE]d[/STRIKE]Dumbledore" rather than "[STRIKE]a[/STRIKE]Aldus [STRIKE]d[/STRIKE]Dumbledore"?

Punctuation along the lines of what I have suggested would be helpful.

Thanks to both of you.But therms such as" quasi-coordinator " or "Subordinator is new for me... I never came across any of these in my grammar book.

I want to study and refer to a grammar book which covers every rule and exception from basic-level grammar to advance-level grammar
