Hi,

We have a marketing email with the subject "What Are Paris Most Popular Attractions? Take a Wild Guess!"
Is it offending to the receiver to say "Take a wild guess"?

Thanks in advance,

Amir

Welcome to the forum, Amir.

What are you marketing, and who is your email aimed at?

Just at present you might want to wait until Paris has returned to something like normality.

You need to say "What Are Paris's Most Popular Attractions?", but if you think "Take a wild guess" might offend somebody, leave it out.

Thanks for the quick reply, i'll make some modifications.

Not really, but Paris is very well known, so would people be taking a wild guess if they said the Eiffel Tower?

PS I'd use offensive rather than offending.

As long as they open the mail I don't really care what their wild guess is :)

Please end a sentence with the appropriate punctuation mark — not a home-made smiley. If you want to insert an emoticon, choose one from the :) selection above.

There's no need to quote our replies back to us when your response follows immediately. I quoted yours as I was altering something in it.

Please answer my question in post #2.

We are marketing trip plans to various destinations around the world (such as Paris).
The email is targeted to our users - people who downloaded and used (or are planning to use) one of our plans.
