I would like to know the difference in meaning between "1" and "2"?
1. Infants delight in having an impact and in creating change.
2. Infants delight in having an impact, in creating change.

Sentence one is about doing two things separately.

Sentence two is about doing/achieving two things together.

Generally, infants don't have the sort of aspirations you indicate. What are you calling an infant?
