Hi:)
could you please tell me if this sentence correct or not?
"In this quote we understand Thomas A. Edison's opinion about importance of overcoming life failures."

Thank you

It's not correct. Grammatically, you need to put the before importance. Also, I assume you mean life's failures.

I also think In is wrong, as is the word understand.

Did you write this sentence?

And the quote is not incorporated into the text.

No, I did not write this sentence.

In that case, you need to tell us the source and author of the sentence.

We always want to know this information.

Sorry I guess I misunderstood you before! It's not from an important/valid source/author. Just some random guy who is not even a native speaker and has probably just translated this sentence from his own language to English.

We'll be the judges of that. Even if you took the quote from someone's Facebook page, you should tell us that. In that case, you don't have to give their name, of course, but you must make it clear in post #1 whether you wrote the relevant words yourself.
If you take the words from any publication or any website, you must give us the source and author.

… unless the author is unknown. In that case, say "author unknown".

Yes, the author is unknown! Some guy just asked me to correct its grammatical mistakes.

Sorry that I put the quote in " ". I just do it when the sentence is not mine. I did not know it takes up your time that much:(
