Hello again!

It’s sad to see how people are not willing to accept themselves as who they are and how they look and in attempts of looking different and beautiful, they try these plastic procedures.

I know that in attempts of looking different means (by) trying, many times, to look different or making repeated attempts at looking/to look different.

Is it acceptable to use in attempts of looking different?

Thank you.

Since in attempts of looking different means making repeated attempts at looking different, it would make no sense to talk about in an attempt to look different , which means making a single attempt to look different.

I can't switch off the bold type!
