Hi! Listening is always the problem which has bothered me for a long time. As, English is my second language, I need to highly concentrate when I'm listening to English, otherwise I cannot understand a word. I have read a couple of posts talking about the way to improve the listening skill. However, those are mainly encouraging people to listen more. And now the problem for me is that I'm currently living in a foreign city where people speak English all over, and my English still cannot improve as I don't even familiar the vocabularies or expressions they say. Moreover, sometimes I cannot understand some simple words as they always change the tone of the words in different sentences. So, in my case, what can I do in order to improve my English. (p.s. I don't actually have any native-speaker friends, so it's a bit hard to find someone to practice.)
Thank you so much~
