"I'm surprised that she should feel like that"

What dose sentence 1 exactly mean? Am I surprised at what she felt before or am I surprised at what she has to feel

future... or... am I surprised at what she is feeling now?

Also, is possible to omit 'should' and still have same meaning? like..

"I'm surprised that she feel like that" ?

"I'm surprised that she should feel like that"
"I'm surprised that she feels like that" ?
There is little practical difference in meaning.
