Susan voted for me to be the next president of her public speaking club. I don't think I'm capable of doing that. I said to her:

I'm nothing special. I don't understand why you voted me.

Is the italic sentence natural?

Did you not nominate yourself for that post?
You need "voted for me".
I didn't. The speaking club is not very formal. Friends established it for the purpose of practicing speaking English. Everyone is okay to be the president. She thinks my English so good that I can be the president.

But now I want to ask if "I'm nothing special" is used and idiomatic. If so, in what context can I use that?

It's natural.

"I'm nothing special" is common enough. However, "I'm nobody" might get you more sympathy.
😊
