Hi folks,
Could anybody tell me what the underlined part means? This is from the Golden Girls Season 4, Episode 12. Sophia is taking over as a football coach.

Sophia: Forfeit? You mean quit? You can't do that, Rose. No member of my family ever quits.
Rose: Sophia, I'm not a member of your family.
Sophia: Pretend, Rose. I'm going for a moment here. You never saw a Frank Capra film? I'm taking over. (doorbell rings) Wish me luck.

Sophia is trying to create an emotional moment to motivate Rose, like a motivational scene from a movie.

Some movies have a scene where the main character gives a motivational speech to raise morale before a key struggle in the plot.
