This sentence I'm anxious that we should allow plenty of time is an example of should from the OALD. I don't understand it. What does this sentence mean? In what situation would you use this sentence?
Thank you.

It's possible to write this sentence as I'm anxious that we allow plenty of time, where 'allow' is technically a subjunctive form. Many speakers of BrE prefer to use should, which adds nothing to the meaning.

Nevertheless, I don't understand this sentence. What does it mean? In what situation would you use this sentence? Please give me an example when you would use it.
Thank you.

It probably means this:

I'm worried we're not going to have enough time.

I'm sure you can think of situations in which to say that.
