Does it make sense to say someone "cheers enthusiastically" for a team? Is this correct and natural?

You know how much I hate the Hammers but on Sunday, I'll be West Ham's biggest fan, cheering for them more enthusiastically than all of the team's lifelong supporters.

What are some other words I can use to express this?
