Did I use "empathizing with" in this text "I would start by actively listening to the customer's complaints, empathizing with them.." correctly?

Here is the text:

If I were to deal with an angry customer, my top priority would be to handle the situation in a professional manner. I would start by actively listening to the customer's complaints, empathizing with them, and then I would work to identify the root cause of their problem and collaborate with them to come up with the most effective solution possible.

Umm... What's your question?

Your post doesn't have one and your title seems incomplete.

I apologize. I updated the title.

Yes, you've used it correctly.
