How to say this politely?

I would prefer to hire someone that stay long in their most recent jobs.

How [STRIKE]to[/STRIKE] can I say this politely?

I would prefer to hire someone [STRIKE]that[/STRIKE] who stayed [for] a long time in their [STRIKE]most recent[/STRIKE] previous jobs.

Note my changes above. We don't start questions with "How to".

I would use "most recent" to refer only to the last job they had. We tend to use "who", not "that", to refer to people. Why do you think your version is not polite?

Please note that I have changed your thread title. Titles should be unique, relevant, and contain some/all of the words/phrases/sentences you are asking us about. Your actual question should appear only in the main body of the post.
