"I would (not) + verb." and "I would (not) have + past participle"

Hi all, Could you please tell me if there is any difference between "I would (not) + verb." and "I would (not) have + past participle"? For example why is the National Geographic Channel program called "I wouldn't go in there" but not "I wouldn't have gone in there"?
Thank you very much in advance! :)

"I wouldn't go in there" - in the future if the hypothetical possibility arose.
"I wouldn't have gone in there" - in the past, if the hypothetical possibility had arisen.
