Hello!
I would like to ask about using "I was wondering if you could". Please see the sentence at the end.
Is the diffrence between "I am wondering if you can" and "I was wondering if you could" a tense?

Or is "I was wondering if you could~" more polite than "I am wondering if you could"?

I would really appreciate if you explain the difference between those. :-D

Thanks for the response to my request. I received the budget figures and I will hand them out to my
team members today. But before I do so, I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. The

Sincerely,
So Young

Yes, it's a bit more polite.
