Is this sentence formation mean the same thing as I wish him for a good marks?(I know I wish he got good marks means entirely different)
"Wish" is wrong in that context. You should use "hope". "I hope he gets good marks".
I thought that but the person who used that said in the sense that he wishes him for good mark.
