Is it correct to say: 'I will be waiting for you to contact me.' when you scheduled a time to talk to someone over a chat?

You could say that if that was the arrangement.
Normally, if you've scheduled a time, then both of you turn up at the appropriate place at the scheduled time. No one has to wait to be contacted unless that's the arrangement.
