Hi, I have a few sentences i'd like to get checked.

I was going to refuel the car after dropping you off.

I would refuel the car after dropping you off.
I would refuel the car after I would drop you off.
I was going to empty the dishwasher after the cycle has been finished.
I was going to empty the dishwasher after the cycle was finished.

Which one of these sentences are correct? And could you please point me out to the grammar rules that explain this? I'm really confused about sentences like these. I don't know which tense i should use. Thank you.

The first three are all incorrect because they don't start with a capital letter, the personal pronoun "I" is not capitalised, and they don't end with a full stop.

Ok what about now?

I was going to refuel the car after dropping you off. Correct.

I would refuel the car after dropping you off. Possible in the right context.

I would refuel the car after I would drop you off. Wrong.

I was going to empty the dishwasher after the cycle has been finished. Wrong.

I was going to empty the dishwasher after the cycle was finished. OK, but better with "had" instead of "was".

Fox12, your member info says you currently live in the United States. Then you should know that we don't say we're going to refuel the car. Perhaps:

I was going to put gas in the tank after I dropped you off.

Thank you! Do you where I can learn more about this? Could you provide me with some tips/ links? Again, sentences like these are very confusing for me and I keep making mistakes. Thank you
