I want to say a place is near another place. How can I use 'walking distance'?

Which one is correct?

1. Jane's place is walking distance to a nice restaurant.

2. Jane's place is in walking distance from a nice restaurant.

3. Jane's place is withing walking distance from a nice restaurant.

All would be understandable, but I would go with #3.

Jane's place is within[STRIKE]g[/STRIKE] walking distance from a nice restaurant.
That's the one, though the preposition is usually of, not from, in BrE.

Don't ask me why.
