I took picture of shoes for my friend and I ask her:

Do you see anything you like from/in the picture?

Are both okay?
 
I wouldn't use "from".
 
In that context, I would say it's wrong.

From that photo, I can tell you were happy.
I can't tell where you are from that photo.

There, "from" means "by looking at".

With the photo of the shoes, you are simply asking if she thinks anything in the photo is to her liking.

Note that you "took a picture".

Prepositions are about choices,so it's often hard to be absolute about right and wrong. However, if there is one that is a clear winner, then use it and forget the other options. Use in here.
