I see you asked the same question in WRforums (and also in EnglishForums).

I am wondering why "see" above is used in the present simple. For me, I would use it this way:

I saw/have seen you asked the same question in WRforums (and also in EnglishForums), and I see this as an inappropriate behavior.

What do you think?
 
In that context, "I see" is used to mean "I can see". We use the present simple in this sort of context a lot.

Helen: Hi Sarah.
Sarah: Hi. I haven't seen you for ages.
Helen: It's been months! I see you've got a new hairstyle!
Sarah: Yes. I love it.
Helen: So do I!

John: How's your homework going, Pete?
Pete: Not too well, to be honest.
John (looking at the homework): Ah, I see you're struggling with the past perfect.
Pete: Yes. I find it really hard.
John: OK, let's work on that.
