What's the grammatical construction of the bold part?
Does "a vision of the key lifted from my corpse" mean "a vision of the key which was lifted from my corpse" or does it mean "a vision in which the key was lifted from my corpse"?

It means the second. Note the correct spelling of "sanctum". For what it's worth, I don't think it's worded very well. I would add "being" after "key".

The vision was of the key being lifted from the corpse and the great serpent watched it happen.

I think there are two possible interpretations of this:

1) I had a vision in which was the key had been lifted from my corpse
2) I had a vision in which the key was being lifted from my corpse

Like emsr2d2, I'd take the second interpretation.
