I preferred that he go to school rather than stay home.

I wanted him to go to school instead of staying at home.

"Go school" is not correct.
 
1. space here I preferred him to go school rather than stayed home.
2. space here I preferred him to go school rather than stay home.

Which one is correct?

Note my corrections to your original post above. I am certain that I have made similar corrections to your other posts. You must follow these rules of written English:

- Start every sentence with a capital letter.
- End every sentence with one appropriate punctuation mark.
- Put a space after every comma and full stop.

The other responses have already given you some correct ways of saying your sentences, so I haven't done that. I simply wanted to show you how your post should have looked.
