Hello.
Could you please tell me if the following sentences are correct?

1) I observed him take away the purse from the table.
2) I observed him taking away the purse from the table.
3) I noticed him take away the purse from the table.
4) I noticed him taking away the purse from the table.
-By an unqualified English teacher
 
Also, 'saw' would be more natural than 'observed'.
 
I'd go for saw, noticed or spotted. In casual (almost slang) BrE, you could use clocked.
