I assigned a letter to my student that invites his friend to a dinner party at his home. He was expreceted to write the letter in informal style.
At the end of the letter, the student wrote “I hope to see you soon.” To express the expectation for the invitee’s acceptance. I want to know whether “See you soon” is more informal than the previous one or not.

Both are equally informal.
