I hold you to your word

I have a problem: when somebody "promises" me something can I say "I hold you to your word" or "I hold you to it" ? Could you help me with that ?

You can say "I will hold you to your word" or "I'll hold you to that". You have to put it into the future tense because it means that when the times comes for the promise to be fulfilled, you will insist upon it.
