[Grammar] I haven't had or I haven't eaten

Which one of the following sentences is used more often in day to day conversations. Also, what is the difference between each and what situations each of these would apply?
"I haven't had dinner yet" or "I haven't eaten dinner yet"
 
The first is probably more common, but it's not a distinction you should worry too much over.
 
There are other variations like using my dinner, but I agree with Raymott about not worrying.
