I haven’t had a good meal ever since I’ve been here.

I read this sentence on a grammar website. The writer says it means I haven’t had a good meal ever since I came here. But I think it’s a wrong sentence. It can be rewritten like this.
I haven’t had a good meal ever since I’ve been there. = I haven’t had a good meal ever since I left there.
What do you say?
