I'm struggling with understanding the lyrics of the following song: https://youtu.be/fqhJ8TuV0fE?t=60

I have two questions:

1) Does the following lyrics coincide with what you hear on the video?

Left a message but it ain't a bit of use
I have some pictures the wild/(of what?) might be the deuce
Today you saw, you saw me you explained
Playin' the show when runnin' down the plain/(plane)?

2) What does this whole piece mean (could you please rephrase it with some other words)

For me it means something like that:

I left you a message (on the pnone?), but it was a useless thing to do
I saw some photos in which you ... ???
Today we met and you explained (what was in those photos?)
Acting it out while you were running (where?)

the wild might be the deuce

As a guess, if he does in fact say the wild might be the deuce, it's an effort at a metaphor from a card game. The wild (card) might be the deuce (two/twos). Perhaps pictures refers to picture cards, i.e., jacks, queens, kings.

I have no idea what it's supposed to mean. The song title is Roulette, which is the name of another common casino game. Is he saying that the way he feels when he's around 'you' is just down to chance?

the wild might be the deuce

The song title is Roulette

Thank you, it's an interesting interpretation. Perhaps you have an idea why they sometimes write My beautiful princess next to Roulette in the title?

Do you mean that My Beautiful Princess is like a second title?

I suppose that the person referred to as 'you' in the song is 'his beautiful princess'. Perhaps he's been fantasising romantically about this person. It doesn't make much sense, though, does it? Most of the song is him simply repeating over and over I know how I feel when I'm around you. I don't know how I feel when I'm around you. By calling this person, 'my beautiful princess', it seems fairly clear to me that he has some idea of how he feels!

No offence meant to you in any way, englishhobby, but I really don't think my interpretation is very interesting. It's just my first guess at what I think might be the idea behind a very amateur lyric.
