This is not my homework.

I have a pen.

Is it right to say "a pen" the object of the verb "have"?
If it is not the object then what is it? Verb complement?
Is there any easy to remember rule/criteria to say a thing the object of the verb?

Thanks, would you please help me to form the passive voice of the given sentence if the passive voice is possible?

Also, what about this sentence?- I am a student.

In this sentence, "am" is main verb. Is "a student" of its object or verb complement?
If this is not the object, why there is a difference in two sentences, both of them uses helping verbs as main verbs. Is there something to do with causative verbs or some other such term?

"Am" is a linking verb, the main verb. "Student" is the subject complement.

There is no natural way to express the idea I have a pen in the passive voice.
