What does 'got somebody' mean?
 
What does 'got somebody' mean?
The operative words are "got my son to", not just "got my son".

When you get somebody to do something for you, it means you arrange for them to do it, perhaps by paying them, or by asking them to do it as a favour, or by threatening to break their legs if they don't.
