Is this correct and natural?

I decided to spend the rest of the day strolling through the fields. The vibrant shimmer of the sun rippled through the swaying daffodils as a timid breeze blew from the lake. The sun was friendly and gentle as it moved slowly to my left and dipped below the horizon. The sky was half lavenderish half orange around twilight.

I like "timid breeze." Interesting image.

I'd probably say that the breeze blew off or across/over the lake, rather than from.
